The Optimal Throughput of some Wireless Multiaccess Systems

چکیده
| The throughput performance of some multiaccess wireless systems is compared on the basis of the average energy per successfully received information bit Eb=N0. We prove that, for an optimal choice of the system parameters, some systems are not interference limited and have a similar behavior: at high Eb=N0 they \self-orthogonalize", i.e., on the average only one user per degree of freedom is active, while at low Eb=N0 they have the same throughput of conventional CDMA, achieved by in nite users per degree of freedom transmitting with vanishing rate.

Multiaccess Fading Channels-Part I: Polymatroid Structure, Optimal Resource Allocation and Throughput Capacities
In multiaccess wireless systems, dynamic allocation of resources such as transmit power, bandwidths, and rates is an important means to deal with the time-varying nature of the environment. In this two-part paper, we consider the problem of optimal resource allocation from an information-theoretic point of view. We focus on the multiaccess fading channel with Gaussian noise, and define two noti...
متن کاملAsymptotic Close to Optimal Resource Allocation in Centralized Multi-band Wireless Networks
This paper concerns sub-channel allocation in multi-user wireless networks with a view to increasing the network throughput. It is assumed there are some sub-channels to be equally divided among active links, such that the total sum rate increases, where it is assumed each link is subject to a maximum transmit power constraint. This problem is found to be a non-convex optimization problem and i...

متن کاملA JOINT DUTY CYCLE SCHEDULING AND ENERGY AWARE ROUTING APPROACH BASED ON EVOLUTIONARY GAME FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS
Network throughput and energy conservation are two conflicting important performance metrics for wireless sensor networks. Since these two objectives are in conflict with each other, it is difficult to achieve them simultaneously. In this paper, a joint duty cycle scheduling and energy aware routing approach is proposed based on evolutionary game theory which is called DREG. Making a trade-off ...

In this paper, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assisted cooperative communication system is studied, wherein a source transmits information to the destination through an energy harvesting decode-and-forward UAV. It is assumed that the UAV can freely move in between the source-destination pair to set up line of sight communications with the both nodes. Since the battery of the UAV may be limite...
